WestCMR was founded in 1997 by Randy Ware. He first created a marketplace where unused surgical supplies could be put to good use rather than sitting and ultimately being discarded. The idea saved money for their customers, simplified their inventory, created a new way of managing supplies and prevented unnecessary waste of valuable supplies used by the Healthcare Industry. It also gave Healthcare providers, who might not be large enough to qualify for discounts, a way to purchase just what they need, when they need it, and at a lower price. This created a winning formula for both the original holder of the supply surplus and the buyer of those unused surgical supplies.
Randy Ware had 157 plus folders with over 60,000 contacts and companies in them. That included valuable notes and intel on contact roles and relationships. He and his sales team needed an efficient way to manage that key data. He also needed a program that would enable the organization of all the data in one centralized database.
Because all WestCMR employees already used Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, Prophet CRM was a great solution. Mr. Ware could now segment and distribute contacts to specific users. Those users could then set about the normal “Blocking & Tackling” of emails and appointments. Ensuring contacts became customers of WestCMR. With Prophet, all of their activity and forecasting data rolled up to dynamic reports and graphic analytic dashboards. In addition, the customization of the CRM enabled the capture of even more valuable intel. Allowing them to track trends and set realistic targets for the future.
WestCMR is now the top provider in their niche. Over the 5 years that Mr. Ware and his team have been using Prophet, the company has enjoyed double-digit growth. Mr. Ware expressed that, “ it’s easy to assume and correlate that Prophet CRM has contributed to that are we are convinced this trajectory will continue.”
He went on to say; “ When we made the switch to Prophet from simply using Outlook, it took our prospecting game to the next level.” Employees can promote their services more efficiently, which has led to more qualified leads. In addition, all activities surrounding emails, appointments, and tasks are
accurately captured, without his staff having to leave Microsoft Outlook. Another benefit has been the decrease in time spent maintaining another disparate database and the burden of compiling reports. When asked to describe his experience with the Avidian team his thoughts were clear. “They are true partners.”
